Energy Transformed: Sustainable Energy Solutions for Climate Change Mitigation
This free 600+ page online resource has been developed in line with the activities of the CSIRO Energy Transformed Flagship research program which is focused on research that will assist Australia to achieve at least 60% cuts to greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. It brings together all the knowledge of how countries like Australia can achieve these cuts. Although these lectures have an Australian focus, the information provided will assist climate change mitigation efforts globally.
The lectures provide information to achieve a minimum 30% energy efficiency savings in the short term while providing a strong basis for further improvement for governments, business, industries and households. They also provide an updated overview of advances in low carbon technologies, renewable energy and sustainable transport.
These lectures compliment other initiatives and encourage the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions through behaviour change, sustainable consumption, and constructive changes in economic incentives and policy.
