Some of the key facts and trends from this handbook include:

• Construction work in Australia increased by 6.3% over the 2006/07 period (equating to approximately $6.2 billion)
• Over $24 billion was for non-residential buildings
• Concerns over increased costs of building 'green' are decreasing
• There is an increase in use of environmental/sustainability rating tools
• 99% of respondents from a Davis-Langdon survey said that 'green objectives' are already (77%) or are becoming (22%) an issue. This is being driven by tenants.
